LOVING LORNA DOONE at The Rep!

Show dates are April 29-30 and May 5-7, 12-14 & 19-21, 2011 with curtain at 8 o’clock each evening.

Making its world premiere at The Rep, this musical saga set in the 1600s on the beautiful English moors follows the star-crossed adventures of John Ridd (son of a respectable farmer, killed at the hand of a member of the notorious Doone clan) and young Lorna Doone, the forbidden love he cannot live without.

A timeless tale of adventure and romance set against the backdrop of revolution - with a relevant twist of the modern.

We will be attending the Saturday, May 14th performance. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in going and I will make a reservation. Seats are going fast!

Skiing at Welch Village: Monday, January 3rd.

It's time to dust off your old skis, snowboard or get out your shiny new ones and hit the slopes at Welch Village. Whether you have never skied before or you are an Olympic Skier like myself,  join us on Monday, January 3rd for an evening of skiing, dinner and hopefully only minor injuries.

• Where: Welch Village Ski and Snowboard Resort
• When: 5pm to 9pm
• Fees: $37 for lift ticket, rental equipment: $30
• Food: We will plan on dinner at Madd Jaxx Bar and Grille at the base of Dan's Dive around 7pm.

If you would like to go earlier, we will plan on meeting up at the base of Lookout at 5pm. Please email, text, call or send me smoke signals if you plan on attending.

New name and new goals for 2011

As 2010 winds down, I decided to change the name of the blog and broaden the scope of what I want to do with it. With my two faithful followers, I hope to come up with more activities and posts for 2011.

Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol - November 26th

It's Black Friday and what a better way to celebrate the holiday season than with an alternative holiday play that will surely make you laugh. Join us at The Rochester Repertory Theater at 7:15 for a 7:30 show. More information can be found at the Rochester Repertory Theater's website. Reservations strongly encouraged, so please let me know if you are interested in attending and I will see about getting a group rate.

An after-play gathering will be at our house to wind down the evening. BYOB or be thirsty....Ok, hot cocoa provided.

Goonies Comedy Club



Join us this Saturday, October 16th at Goonies Comedy Club for a few laughs. We will be attending the 7:30pm show. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door. I recommend you purchase your tickets online or calling Goonies for reservations.

Dinner and a Movie

Mark your calendars for the first "Dinner and a Movie" event. I have chosen a Monday night for the first event since Tuesdays, Thursdays and the weekends tend to be busy for me. It's all about me by the way...

Busy weekend coming up! This Friday, September 10th, we are getting a group together to attend Natural Causes at the Rochester Repertory Theatre, and Saturday, September 11th, join us for the Rochester Ice Hawks at the Rochester Rec Center. Let me know if you are interested in either event!
